An officer stopped a car leaving a construction zone at Law-Win Court when he smelled burnt marijuana, Brick police said in a statement.
A search of the vehicle found a .25-caliber handgun, ammunition, two knives, a quantity of oxycodone, a quantity of marijuana, THC cartridges and THC edibles, police said.
Nasir Williams, 18, of Brick was charged with trespassing and multiple drug and weapons charges, police said. Williams was released on summonses pending a court appearance.
Williams' 17-year-old passenger was charged with possession of a large capacity magazine and other weapons charges, police said.
The boy also was charged with possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was being held at the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center in Toms River, they said.
